Croppa Creek
Croppa Creek is a pocket sized settlement that promises a unique Australian bush experience. Friendly and community driven, the people of Croppa Creek welcome you to stop, rest and experience the place they are proud to call home.
Located in the ‘heart of the golden triangle’ of cereal growing, Croppa Creek has evolved into one of the nation’s most vibrant and significant cropping regions. Vast hectares of farmland set against a fiery western sky provide memorable sunsets, and the corridors of native trees are home to a precious koala population. Vintage farm equipment lining the streets is a must for the machinery buff, and the general store is a hive of activity, so grab a bite to eat, catch up with the local news and play a round of golf!
Established as a railway station on the Moree to North Star line in 1932, the village became a railhead for grain transport, which led to a local change from grazing to cropping. Grain Corp operate a massive wheat silo, and the nearby Myola feedlot is capable of handling 20,000 head of cattle, using mostly locally produced grain.
