HF Batterham Memorial Lookout
For an eagle’s eye view of the Gwydir Valley and Stoddart’s Valley to the south, drive or walk up to the HF Batterham Memorial Lookout. Viewing a moonrise over the Gwydir River or a breathtaking sunset from this vantage point allows you to feel a peace that you may have forgotten existed.
The road to the lookout is reached by a narrow, and very steep, bitumen road and is definitely not suitable for caravans. This is a lookout that lives up to its name!
The lookout is the perfect spot for a picnic or an afternoon beer and has picnic facilities and a bush barbecue, but there are no toilet facilities.
