Discover the Gwydir through Soundtrails

Soundtrails is an app-based platform showcasing the stories, culture, history and heritage of three locations within the Gwydir Shire – Warialda, Myall Creek and Bingara.

The Gwydir Soundtrails is rich in tales of survival, courage, community and friendship and is a doorway into the people and history of our Shire. Visitors and locals can download the Soundtrails app to experience stories on location through their smartphone or tablet while walking around the area.

Soundtrails marries contemporary and historic stories produced by world-class sound producers and range in styles from a longer radio documentary format to shorter, evocative sound pieces.

If you are on site, you can walk in and out of stories as you follow the map on-screen. GPS will track your location so you trigger stories at specific places bringing the stories to life.
